On 9 and 10 May, the Municipality of Sliven hosted a specialized training for medical and pedagogical specialists, dedicated to some of the most important topics related to the health, development, and support of children in early childhood and school age.

The training was organized by the Municipality of Sliven and Medifix Academy and covered key conditions such as asthma, diabetes, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as special educational needs (SEN). Special emphasis was placed on the early recognition of symptoms, timely response, and the creation of a supportive and inclusive environment for children.

Children in nurseries, kindergartens, and schools are among the most vulnerable groups in society. They face health, emotional, and social challenges on a daily basis, which require adequate, professional, and well-coordinated action from the specialists working with them. For this very reason, such training plays a significant role in increasing the capacity and confidence of medical and pedagogical staff.

Practical focus and applicable skills

The strong focus of the training was on the practical part. Through real-life case studies, discussions, and examples from everyday practice, participants enhanced their skills in responding adequately to specific situations, communicating effectively with children and parents, and working as a team. All approaches and solutions presented were aligned with the Bulgarian regulatory framework and the real-world conditions in educational and healthcare institutions.

The training was met with high engagement from the participants, who actively took part in the discussions and practical exercises. The set objectives were successfully achieved, and the feedback received confirmed the need for regular and targeted training in this field.

Medifix Academy continues to work toward providing high-quality, practically oriented training that meets the requirements of current regulations and supports professionals in the care and full development of children.
